Wheel LIFE: Disability Education Program for Schools

Interactive, Fun, Educational and Inclusive

Wheelchair Sports WA offers schools and tertiary organisations a fun and interactive disability education program called Wheel LIFE.

The program is designed to motivate and educate students whilst giving them a practical understanding of what it is like to live with a physical disability.

The program also promotes the Be Active message to school children and exemplifies how being active leads to a healthier life.

A standard Wheel LIFE session consists of:

• An introductory presentation by a wheelchair athlete
• Basic skills session
• Supervised game of wheelchair basketball
• Student quiz with free prizes

The program is extremly flexible and can be adapted to suit your needs.

The Wheel LIFE program can be conducted at the Herb Graham Centre in Mirrabooka, where we have fantastic facilities including four wheelchair accessible toilets,showering facilities, a cafe, conference rooms and elevated seating or we can bring the program to you, provided you have a suitable playing surface.
