Pistol Shooting is available for the disabled, with Rifle shooting soon to follow.
All disabilities are welcome, with two classes - Standing and seated shooters. However, you do have to be 12 years and above to try.
Pistol Shooting is categorised into three sections, Air Pistol, Sport Pistol and Free Pistol.
Air Pistol is shot over a distance of 10 metres with a .177 calibre pistol. Sport Pistol is shot over a distance of 25 metres with a .22 calibre, and Free Pistol over 50 metres, again with a .22 calibre.
Wheelchair Sports WA has a current relationship with Perth Pistol Club, and the Association's shooting co-ordinator is 2000 Paralympian Jeff Lane. We would love to see some new faces to have a try!
For further information, please contact Jeff or Gary at the Wheelchair Sports WA office on 9443 4833.
